EASTER

For this month's message, at the time of Easter, it felt appropriate to connect with the Christ Consciousness. I do this by entering into meditative Awareness and inviting the presence of the Christ Consciousness. I am not channeling Christ, but rather simply sitting with that presence and allowing words to come. The connection and the terminology of the Christ Consciousness were something I resisted at first. Over the last few years I have come to feel that I must not deny him by relegating him to the bonds of religion; that perhaps the Christ longs to be rediscovered by those who have rejected him because of what has been done in his name. So I have begun to explore with Awareness the wisdom of his teaching and the healing power of that love. I have discovered that there is truth to the saying, "Whenever two or more of you are gathered in my name…." That is, the Christ Consciousness comes through much more strongly for me when there are others present. My friend Michele Matossian, who has her own deep connection to the healing energy of the Christ, was present for this session and also created the beautiful image to go with the message.

Christ comes, weeping. Tears pour down his face as he reaches out to this world he loves so much. He weeps because it continues. He says:

You continue to crucify me over and over and over again. I feel the pain of the nails being driven in. Every death, every bomb that falls, every soldier that is shot, is a nail in my hand, a spear in my side.

He asks that each of us feel the presence of his light, his love, and his sorrow in our hearts. He says that when he spoke the words "Forgive them for they know what they do," it was a different time and a different place. He came so that people would know what they do. He came with a message: "Love your enemy." It is no longer possible to say that those who act with aggression, brutality, and greed know not what they do. Christ came to bring a different way. Only when people directly reject his teaching, his presence, his love and his healing can there be oppression, brutality and greed. Actions of oppression, brutality and greed cannot be done in his name. Acts of love, healing and reconciliation can be done in his name.

Why then, we ask, does he not come now to put a stop to all of this?

He says clearly: I have come. I have never left.

Only as each person who follows his path understands his teachings deeply within themselves will there be change in this world. He says: I have given you everything. Will you receive it?

This Easter take it very seriously. Make a resolve to die to your old self, your old way of being in the world. Feel the presence of love, light, healing and wisdom blossom and be reborn in your heart. Yes, it is a time of great pain and great sorrow. Do not deny it. Look for the causes of pain and sorrow in your heart and die to them. Do not deny the pain. Let it be as nails piercing you. And from the pain let love be born, love for all that lives, for this world.

He says: Love thy neighbor as thyself. Violence, aggression and the sorrow caused by them arise because you do not love enough. The root of violence is the rejection of peace. Hatred is the denial of love. It is not important to understand why hatred arises, only to know that love is the solution. The power of love and hate is beyond reason and logic. The only solution is to seek love instead of hate and to seek peace instead of violence.

Believe in love and peace, seek love and peace, strive for love and peace, hold love and peace dear, value love and peace, and live from love and peace. It's the only solution.

Christ will bring love and peace to those who pray to him. In prayer go beyond all the concepts of Christ and experience his love and peace directly.

How do we pray?

With others. The Christ loves community. For most people prayer to the Christ in community is more effective than solitary prayer. For some who are by nature hermits, it is different. At this time, for people to join in the community of prayer is helpful.

The cross is an ancient symbol of balance, of the meeting of the human soul and God. It existed long before the crucifixion. Meditate with the image of a golden cross of light in the heart. This brings warmth, peace and love.

Invoke his presence with the simple prayer, "Christ be with me." Those who choose not to use the name of Christ, because of all the associations it has accrued, may say "Peace be with me." This prayer will bring the love, peace and healing that are the essence of the Christ consciousness to those who find it difficult to relate to the name of the Christ.

"Peace be with me, peace be with you, peace be with this world" is a powerful prayer for the present time.

Every Thursday evening we have a prayer circle here at my home in New Mexico at 8 pm Mountain Standard Time. That’s 10pm Eastern time, 8pm Central time, and 7pm Pacific time in the USA. Please join us if you wish. Take a few minutes to tune in and connect with the light in yourself, to join us in that great collective web of consciousness. Say a prayer for peace, for all beings, for yourself, for your loved ones….whatever you need.  It is 4 in the morning in Europe but…join us in dreamtime.

With Love,

Donna
